Build things that are hard to build
Regulated healthcare, live-animal commerce, verifiable ledgers and the infrastructure under all of it. Six divisions, one platform, and problems that do not have a tutorial.
What is genuinely different about this group
Six products, one stack
You can move from clinical software to marketplace commerce to blockchain without relearning a toolchain. Very few companies of our size offer that range on one platform.
You ship in week one
The pipeline, environments and access are ready before you start. New engineers merge to trunk on their first week — that is a standard we hold ourselves to, not a slogan.
Consequences are real
A bug in a triage queue delays care. A bug in escrow moves someone's money. That focuses the work — and it means quality is resourced rather than requested.
Small teams, whole problems
Squads own discovery through on-call. Nobody hands a ticket over a wall, which also means nobody gets to blame the wall.
Writing is part of the job
Decision records, runbooks and post-incident reviews are written by the people who did the work. It is how a group this size stays coherent.
Sustainable on-call
Alerts are symptom-based, so pages are rare and real. On-call is compensated, rotated fairly, and a noisy alert is treated as a bug to fix.

Four steps, roughly two weeks
No unpaid take-home marathons, no whiteboard algorithm theatre, and a real answer either way.
Intro call
30 minutes with the hiring manager. What you have built, what you want next, what the role actually involves.
Technical conversation
A discussion about real systems — yours or ours. Bring code you have written if you would rather show than tell.
Paired working session
Two hours pairing on a realistic problem in our codebase, with an engineer you would actually work with. Paid.
Offer & references
Decision within two working days of the final session, with specific feedback whichever way it goes.
Remote-first
UK-based remote with optional workspace access. Core overlap hours, not fixed desks.
Learning budget
Annual budget for conferences, courses and books — with time to actually use it.
Health cover
Private medical cover, and free access to Nexiv Health and Nexiv Vet for your household.
Adjustments welcome
Tell us what you need for the process to work for you. It changes nothing about how we assess you.
Apply, or just ask a question
Curious but not ready to apply? Ask us anything about the work — a real engineer will answer.
