Cookie Policy
Which cookies and similar technologies we set, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how to change your mind.
In short: our public marketing site runs on strictly necessary cookies only. Analytics and preference cookies are set only if you consent. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies anywhere, on any Nexiv property.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. It lets the site remember things between requests — that you are signed in, which region you were routed to, whether you dismissed a banner. "Similar technologies" covers local storage, session storage and pixels, which do comparable jobs by different means.
Cookies are either session cookies, deleted when you close the browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them. They are also either first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by another domain).

Analytics and error-reporting cookies are never set inside clinical consultation contexts in Nexiv Health or Nexiv Vet. Those surfaces run on strictly necessary cookies only, regardless of your preferences elsewhere.
4. Similar technologies
- Local & session storage — used to hold interface state and offline drafts on your device. This data stays on your device and is cleared when you sign out or clear site data.
- Service workers — cache static assets so pages load quickly and degrade gracefully on poor connections. They cache no personal or clinical content.
- Pixels and web beacons — used only in transactional and subscribed marketing email to record delivery and opens, and only where you have not opted out. Not used on our websites.
5. Third-party cookies
We keep third-party cookies to an absolute minimum. Where they exist, they come from infrastructure providers performing a necessary function:
- Content delivery network — may set a security cookie to distinguish legitimate traffic from automated attacks. Strictly necessary.
- Payment provider — sets cookies during checkout for fraud prevention and to complete 3-D Secure authentication. Strictly necessary; governed by that provider's own privacy notice.
- Web fonts — our pages load typefaces from a third-party font host. This involves a request to that host, which will receive your IP address as part of any web request. No cookie is set by us for this.
We do not embed social media widgets, advertising tags, session-replay tools or data brokers on any Nexiv property.
6. Managing your preferences
6.1 On our sites
Where non-essential cookies are in use, a consent control is presented on your
first visit and your choice is stored in nx_consent for 12
months. You can change it at any time by clearing that cookie, or by emailing
support@nexivlabs.com and we will
tell you exactly what is set for your account.
6.2 In your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies through its settings — usually under Privacy or Site Settings. You can block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or delete existing ones.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in, checkout and consultation sessions. If you block them and the service stops working, that is why.
6.3 Withdrawing consent
Withdrawing consent stops future non-essential processing. It does not retroactively undo processing already carried out lawfully. To have previously collected analytics data deleted, make a request under section 11 of the Privacy Policy.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
There is still no consistent industry standard for how sites should respond to a browser "Do Not Track" header, so we do not claim to honour it as a formal signal. In practice this changes nothing: we set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies for anyone. Where a Global Privacy Control signal is present we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for non-essential cookies.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the cookies we use change. The "last updated" date will change, and where a new non-essential cookie is introduced we will ask for consent again rather than relying on a previous answer.
